Intranet/Microsoft SharePoint: General Users

SharePoint is used for the LSCS Intranet site, this site replaces the Employee tab on LSCS Web Site. With any new technology there is a need to get up to speed on how to use it to make the technology productive and efficient. The Microsoft SharePoint 2007 (LSCS Intranet)for General Users course covers what new and experienced users will need to learn to use and get the most out of SharePoint 2007.
Note: This session is a required pre-requisite for upcoming Microsoft SharePoint: Owner Users

Tuesday: 06/02/2009

Angel Boot Camp: Comprehensive
Presenter: George Ashmore

From 8 am to Noon
This hands-on workshop will introduce participants to the new ANGEL Learning Management System (LMS) and is intended for new ANGEL users. ANGEL Bootcamp will allow participants to explore the ANGEL LMS in this instructor-led, hands-on, activity-based training session. Advanced topics will not be covered in this course.

Pre-Requisite Knowledge: Participants should have basic computer skills including concepts such as uploading, downloading, and folder structures. No previous experience with ANGEL or other LMS software is required.


Pre-Migration Open Lab: Vista to Angel
Presenter: Christie Smith

From 3 pm to 5 pm
This two-hour open lab session is to assist Vista users in identifying possible situations in courses that might hinder successful migration, and to help make adjustments. With the guidance of onsite lab personnel through hands-on assistance, participants will walk through a series of applicable scenarios and solutions that will increase the optimum migration to ANGEL.
A handout will be available to check specific elements in courses.

Pre-Requisite Knowledge: Access to a section or template in Vista
