ANGEL Tools: Using Respondus to create Tests for ANGEL
Target audience: Faculty
Presenter: Susan Farrell (LSC-Online)

This workshop will introduce participants to Respondus - a program that simplifies creating tests for publishing to your course management system. With Respondus you can write your own questions, import questions from text files, or import a test from a publisher’s test bank.

Civil Rights: Orientation
Target audience: Faculty and Staff

Civil Rights Orientation is a highly interactive workshop which will provide participants with information regarding the district's policies and procedures related to employment discrimination, including sexual harassment and other types of discrimination. This workshop also includes information on the Equal Pay Act, Age Discrimination, and the Americans With Disabilities Act.

Description: The Role of higher education in building a stronger state, healthier communities, and a more engaged citizenry has been gaining increased attention in recent years. This increase can be witnessed in both pedagogy and in practice. The number of educators employing tools of service, service learning and civic engagement in their courses and in their classrooms has grown dramatically. Thanks to faculty, presidents, students, and community based organizations, we are building communities and educating citizens, helping to create a better educated workforce for the state of Texas.
